Busy Bee

I managed to work a lot on Saturday last weekend then show on Sunday. Nothing really exciting to say about the show. Stampede hadn’t shown in quite a while, probably closer to year, and he wasn’t that good. Yes he jumped everything and we got around, but he was being snarky and uncooperative for the most part. Plus he tripped and almost fell on his face at one point…

After the show I gave Stampede time off until Thursday to recover from the extra jumping and his near fall. Got on him Thursday for an easy hack and he was very good once he got stretched out and moving. Yesterday I went out in the evening after work and lunged him in his fake pessoa rig. He was very good, I was really happy with how well he listened and used himself.

I rode Mr. P on Monday and Wednesday, then my friend’s mom rode him Friday. He is finally feeling better from the split he had in his frog so we’ve had good rides.

Only 15 days remain until tax season is over. Really getting excited for all those things that come with spring and the end of tax season – Rolex, extra pony time, sun, more time with the pups and husband, and sleeping in on the weekends.

And I leave you with Mr P enjoying his birthday treats. You can just see the excitement, the way his eyes get big and he swivels his head around. Not to mention the fact that he always licks his stall door when he loves his treats.
