Silly Stampy

Rode Stampede last night. I really didn’t feel like doing ring work, so we went out in the field alone. He could see the horses in the arena, but was alone in the field. I was very proud of him for being good, he’s generally not good at being alone and can be spooky in the field sometimes anyways. Maybe he’s growing up, lol. His only really issue was that he was so busy gawking that he would sometimes trip. Kept me busy trying to get him to focus and work.

After my ride I scrubbed his back leg grossness and had him in the cross-ties to put cream on them and he was being silly.

Just hanging out with my back legs crossed

I will be riding Stampede again tonight and then not riding Friday. I usually ride every day since I have two horses, but my friend’s mom is going to ride Phoenix two days a week while she’s off of school this month. Gives me a nice break from having riding become a daily requirement and I think my husband will be happy I will come home earlier than 9 to 930 at least one night of the week. 🙂

Look at those legs! He’s so cute! 🙂 I imagine it will be nice to have a break.

Thanks! A planned one day of break isn’t always a bad thing. I get kind of crazy if I don’t ride enough though, lol. How long til you start riding again?

Haha true. 6 days a week is normally plenty for me. I am going a little stir crazy after being stuck on the ground now and it’s only been barely a week and a half. I am cleared to ride Tuesday if I keep feeling okay so we will see.

Tuesday isn’t too far away then. Whenever I get hurt I do it bad enough to require months of no riding if it makes you feel better.
