Moving on

The horse related happenings sadly did not go as planned and now I’m sad and have quite a few less dollars in my bank account. I know I will find a good horse that also passes a PPE but this one was really great besides that one crappy x-ray. I don’t need another future pasture ornament, especially one that’s currently only four, so I had to pass.

Otherwise, Roxy decided she would also like an x-ray or two. She suddenly went lame a week ago in the evening and despite going to the vet once and getting diagnosed with a suspected broken toe and getting meds she still wasn’t putting weight on the foot so she went back to the vet. Several x-rays later we confirmed that her shoulders, elbows, and leg bones all look great and it was indeed a broken toe. Since she hadn’t responded to just meds and it is a pretty ugly break she got a splint and a drug increase. She pretty much immediately was willing to weight the foot while standing still so at least the splint is helping. She goes back for a recheck on Friday and hopefully will be back to wrestling with her sister shortly.

Expensive new accessory for Roxy

On the horse front P decided to do some tail renovations over the weekend

Ugh

So I proceeded to moisturize his whole butt and give him a nice comb over. See no more patch of completely missing hair…

Let’s pretend there isn’t a huge patch of hair missing…

On the most positive note, our new couch was delivered yesterday. It is long enough that I can lay down across it and deep enough for my long legs when sitting. Oh and now I can cuddle up with my husband on the couch without being stabbed by reclining sofa parts like our old one did. It’s the little things. 🙂 Oh and note it just so happens this color is called saddle…

So much cozy and cute pooch in the background with her splint

Let’s hope that all my bad luck means that this remaining non-horse related secret item will go as planned….

Ugh such a bummer! It just wasn’t meant to be. Your magical unicorn is out there though, and I hope you find him/her soon! Also hope the pup heals up quickly!

Poor Roxy :-(. I’m still sad about the pony, but I think it was the right choice to pass ❤️

What do you use for tail conditioning? Eli is trying to do the same thing.

I am sorry that the horse didn’t work out. It’s hard. I also want to know what you use for conditioning- Carmen is rubbing her tail like crazy.

I really thought he would pass too since he was young then to fail on the last x-ray. 🙁 Healthy hair care moisturizer – cheap and easy!
